Free Empowerment Coaching Taster Day – Monday 19th May or July 4 2025 | Newstead House, Stoke-on-Trent | 9:30am – 4:00pm

Are you someone who works with young people? Maybe you’re a teacher, a youth worker, a family support worker, a sports coach, or even someone supporting apprentices or SEND learners.

If so, we’d love to invite you to come and see Ignition! in action — and find out why so many professionals are calling it a game-changer for young people across Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire.

This is more than just a taster day. It’s a chance to:

  • Experience a different way of working that gets fast, lasting results
  • Learn something about yourself in the process (everyone does!)
  • And see whether our approach could help the young people you support

Why Come Along?

We know how tough things can be for young people right now — especially those facing challenges with confidence, mental health, difficult home lives, school disengagement, or feeling stuck and unseen. Our Ignition! coaches are working every day with young people navigating:

  • Low self-worth and self-belief
  • Anxiety, depression, and past trauma
  • School avoidance and disengagement
  • Substance misuse and risky behaviours
  • Bullying, isolation, or suicide attempts
  • Care experience, youth offending, or unstable environments

We don’t offer therapy or counselling. We do something different — and it’s working. Through practical tools, engaging activities, and a straight-talking, strengths-based approach, young people learn to shift how they see themselves and take ownership of their future.

And we want you to see exactly how that happens.

What You’ll Get on the Day

This fully interactive taster day is designed to give you a hands-on experience of some of our most powerful Ignition! techniques — the same ones we use with young people in care, in schools, and in community settings.

You’ll take part in sessions like:

🔥 Fuel, Flow, and Travellers – Understand what really motivates you and those you work with
🔥 Meet Bob – Discover how beliefs shape behaviour, and how to reframe limiting ones
🔥 The Big Tick – How hitting rock bottom can become the launchpad for transformation
🔥 The Magnificent Me Obstacle Course – Experience letting go of negative self-talk and stepping into confidence

You’ll leave with practical tools you can start using straight away — in your work, in your team, and even in your own life.

Who Should Attend?

If you support young people in any capacity, this day is for you:

  • Family support workers
  • Teachers & teaching assistants
  • SEN leads
  • Youth and community workers
  • School & college pastoral teams
  • Counsellors and mental health professionals
  • Apprenticeship providers
  • Sports coaches and youth activity leaders

Whether you’re curious about what we do, looking for new tools, or just want to connect with others passionate about youth wellbeing — you’re welcome.

What Happens After the Taster?

We hope you’ll walk away from the day with a clear sense of how Ignition! works, and maybe even become a fan of it like so many others have.

From there, if you feel called to work more closely with us, there are options to:

Refer young people into our coaching programmes
Use the tools and ideas in your own practice
Train to become an Ignition! Coach – with access to our full platform, community, and support

No pressure — just possibilities.
